Glenda Goode
is a magical matchmaker and owner of The Goode Witch Shop, where improbable
matches are made—a concept that wasn’t fooling skeptical Beth. A love of books,
Beth was captivated by an old leather-bound book in the shop. She starts
reading and it’s a man’s journal from the Victorian era. How is it that she
develops a connection with a man who probably died more than 100 years ago?
Then she starts dreaming about the dashing, handsome, unnamed gentleman. It was
almost like her soul was astral projecting into the past, living romantic
scenes with the handsome and charming Edward. Two lonely souls, years apart.
Magic brought her from the future to his time. Interesting.
This was a
nice, romantic fairy tale. A New England story with flowery language. It can
get a little too sappy. The idea of two people from different times falling in
love was too fantastical. I mean, really? This was just okay.
