Review: SHOPPING CAN BE MURDER by Carolyn Arnold

Sarah and Sean were shopping for the holidays when a scream rang through the mall. It could only mean one thing: murder. Did the man jump because he was sick of shopping? Or was he pushed?

The case was pretty good. Sarah and Sean make a good investigating duo, except you have to deal with all the lovey-dovey stuff with a married couple. The writing was pretty good, except it used odd phrased like, “he fought the smile from giving birth.” Really? Couldn’t the author have come up with a craftier line, one that didn’t induce such nauseating imagery? I mean, smiles don’t give birth. C’mon!

Good mystery overall.

My rating: 4 stars
