Review: BROKEN SILENCE by Natasha Preston

Oakley and Cole were teen lovers, but something happened that ripped them apart. What’s with Oakley? What happened with her dad? Why is she going to trial?

Still Oakley and Cole never stopped loving each other. It was nice to see that they were able to share that same witty humor with each other once they were unwittingly reunited. But yet the dark past still lingers. Will it be a rift between them or bring them closer together?

Written in the POV of Oakley and Cole, Broken Silence is a love story reignited in the midst of a harrowing trial concerning child molestation and human trafficking. To be frank, there wasn’t much a love story. Even though Oakley and Cole had a good kinship, the rest wasn’t too compelling. The court stuff was boring and there were too many uninteresting characters.

My rating: 3 stars
