This was a nice read with lovely sketchy illustrations. Funny how the first thing you notice were the big people in Alabama. Alabama was SO different than Korea. Duh! I felt so bad for the dog tied up outside on a humid day with no clean water. But, at least, the dog had Chuna to keep him company. Talk about shock when Chuna found out that she was going to be staying in Alabama. It was a struggle for the foreign kid to fit in at an American school. The only comfort Chuna A.K.A. Robin got was from her comic books.
Delightfully heartfelt and endearing! An artist and an Almost American girl emerges in this inspiring story. A good read!
