It was Christmas Eve and Gloria’s birthday, and it seemed nothing was going right. No birthday wishes and her car stalled at work. At first, this sounded pretty good, but then I quickly lost interest by the middle of chapter 2. I was too bogged down by the character’s neurotic ramblings. I didn’t even know what she was talking about half of the time. Just a bad read.
