Review: MOONLIGHT BECOMES YOU by Mary Higgins Clark

** 2ND TIME REVIEW **

A successful NY photographer reconnects with her long-lost stepmother. When she goes to her house for a dinner party, Maggie finds her stepmother dead on the floor. Surprisingly—to her and everyone else—Nuala had left everything she owned to Maggie, including the house. Why was everyone so interested in getting that house? And what did all this have to do with that fancy retirement home?

Right away, the police suspect that it was one of the dinner guests. But who and why? With various characters and intricate storylines, the author crafts a complex mystery that draws you in. It seems kind of long and first, but you do really get into it. You don’t really get how all this abundant information ties together, but it’s interesting to try to figure out. Reading this gets you hooked and it does get suspenseful toward the end.

Another great read by MHC! I’m glad I gave this a second read.
