Review: LOVELY OBLIVION: MAGGIE by A.D. Craig

Maggie, the shy one of the band, Lovely Oblivion, was nervous about getting her first tattoo. Fortunately, the tattoo artist, Wylder, made her feel nice and calm. What would it be like to have him in her life? Well, that thought was quickly dashed when she found out that he was already taken. Crud. Turns out, however, that the girl he was with was crazy. Boy, was she crazy!

Three years later, the two stumble upon each other at a wedding and the electricity was still there. Soon, they fall into an easy friendship. The narrative was nice, but, as you can see, it takes a really long time to tell the story. About halfway through it is when he makes the request for a fake celebrity girlfriend. I don’t know why that request couldn’t have come sooner. Story presents a good dilemma and the characters had good comradery, but the whole thing was much too lagging for me.

A fairly nice read but not as exciting as the other books in the series. It was just “eh.”
