Review: WHY ME? CHIMERAS, CONUNDRUMS, AND DEAD GOLD FISH by Charlotte Stuart

A trip to Scottland! So what if it was during midge season? Not sure what is a midge. But, hey, a free trip’s a free trip. The last thing one would expect during a hiking excursion is to find a body. Crap! Why me?

And the character keeps on repeating that same thought even as he’s trying to climb down the hills to get to the body. Except, by the time she gets down there….well…the body was gone. And somehow some anonymous groups think she may have something belonging to the victim. And they might do anything to get it from her.

I thought this was an interesting, little mystery. The writing was pretty good. I wish the premise would’ve been a tad simpler. But I liked how this down-to-earth character handled this jumbled mess she found herself in.

My rating: 3 stars
