Mystery

Review: Bella’s marriage seemed miserable with a critical husband who might be having an affair with a hot and spicy Italian chef. To help with her problems, Bella’s friend takes her to a spiritual guru, who spouted all this fluff about life and messes. Oh, and, of course, how it’s all really YOUR fault. Really you make your own mess. Didn’t need a guru to tell me that.
I liked the diary narrative of this quirky character, but I wasn’t too keen on her following on this wacked-out guru’s journey. Yes, there was a murder mystery here, but not even that could hold my interest for too long. Some might find it enjoyable, but I only found it mildly amusing. It just wasn’t like all the other cozy mysteries I’ve read. It was decent read, but it quite hold me because it wasn’t quite what I was expected. A fairly nice read.
