Review: LONG LOST SISTER by NL Hinkens

Piper was hanging on by her fingernails to make rent and other expenses. It was only recently that she found out about a long-lost sister who seemed to be well-off. Piper didn’t want to make contact because, she, by contrast, was such a mess. Nonetheless, she takes a risk and meets her sister, who seemed cold and harsh. Turns out her sister’s life wasn’t all that glamorous. Apparently, Callie was stuck in an abusive marriage with a man who may have assaulted one of Piper’s friends in college and may have caused his own daughter’s disappearance. Whoa! Things get more complicated when Piper and Callie have to cover up her husband’s suspicious death. The sisters are soon wracked with guilt and worry that someone will find out what they did.

Even though this is long, it’s definitely a read you get into. Callie may be Piper’s sister, but she was still a stranger. Should she really put herself a risk for a stranger? And who knows what Callie and her in-laws were truly capable of? Yep, that Callie was a liar, but was she also a murderer?

This read grips you ‘til the end. A good read!
