Review: CRUSH by Svetlana Chmakova

Jorge Ruiz is a big guy in middle school. All the kids are afraid of him because of his size, which kind of makes it hard for him to make friends—the real kind.

The words and action in this book are all over the place. It’s kind of hard to keep up with life in middle school. Only thing that’s clear: Jorge has a crush on a girl, but the girl has a boyfriend.

As always, nice colorful illustrations! It’s a good story about the pitfalls of a crush that goes unnoticed, but it was full of too much sports and drama for me.

My rating: 3 stars
