Review: ALL BY MYSELF ALONE by Mary Higgins Clark

We begin with a wide array of characters on a luxury cruise line ship. One of the passengers was the revered Lady Em, who was in possession of Cleopatra’s necklace.

“Whoever takes this necklace to sea will never live to reach the shore.”

Included on the passenger list are Willy and Alvirah Meehan, the lotter winners. Several people seemed to already have their eye on that necklace.

The author, once again, reels you in with these characters and the mystery. The ship was full of thieves and liars, and some even harbored thoughts of…murder. By the third day of the cruise, a man had gone overboard and Lady Em had been murdered. The question was: who did it?

The hunt was on for The Man with One Thousand Faces—thief and murderer. But who was he?

Even though this cruise was only 6 days, the reading journey was quite long, but it was surprisingly gripping. I didn’t think I would get so into it, but I did.

A good mystery read!
