Review: STAR MAKER by Jessa Nevins

Do any of these young musicians have what it takes to be a star? That’s evidently what it’s all about in Star Maker. Among them are Kit and Joe, best friends since childhood with rock n’ roll dreams. Kit was a hot red-head studying entertainment law and looking for the next top band to manage while Joe was a lead guitarist for a popular group. Because she got Joe where he was, Kit was deemed the Star Maker by her friends.

It was interesting to dive into the Hollywood music scene in this book. The whole thing was basically a whirlwind lifestyle of studying law, managing a band, and partying in L.A. The read was much longer than it should’ve been, but it was still nice and easy. There’s definitely a nice romance that slowly develops, which was the huge draw for this book. I’d be interested to see what this author comes up with next. Jessa Nevins is definitely a star!
