Laura's life was finally good. Review: Laura, a career-driven interior designer takes a shot at online dating. Too bad the first guy she meets was a psycho that almost killed her.
Ten years later, she was married to a wonderful man and writing her first novel, which becomes an instant bestseller after publication. It takes a while to get through some lengthy narratives, but, as you read on, you learn a little bit more. For several nights, Laura is consumed by fear, anxiety, and paranoia. By chapter 17, her husband was found dead. Now, we were getting somewhere. It seemed her husband died in the same manner that she wrote in her book. Fortunately, she wasn’t considered a suspect because of the alibi. What really grabs you is when Laura starts getting messages from her dead husband’s phone. From the killer maybe?
Laura continues to go from one scary crisis after another in this harrowing tale. Her sanity was definitely in question at the end after meeting the hypnotherapist, who puts her on some whacked-out medication. Who takes pills from a stranger? She was so drugged-up that she could barely take care of her dog. I found the dog getting hurt to be very upsetting. I’m surprised the author, being a dog-lover, would write that in. Glad the dog turned out okay.
This story all came down to a shocking and gratifying conclusion. A good read!

Avid dog lover and Author Rebecca Christo was born in Toronto,
Ontario, where she developed an early love of both reading and
writing. Of particular interest to her was creating a story with
emotionally mature content that was still entertaining enough to be
read for fun on a relaxing vacation. She hopes she’s succeeded with
her very first published novel: Mirrored Wounds.
When
she’s not travelling with her husband, Darcy Christo, Rebecca
enjoys spending time with him, her children Ali, Brittany and
Maxwell, and her puppies (Lucy and Winston) in Wasaga Beach, Ontario
where she currently lives.
