Review: SOPHIE WASHINGTON: MISMATCH by Tonya Duncan-Ellis

Sophie is trying for her first team as a tennis player. But who will she be matched with? She gets stuck with none other than Big Mac, a misunderstood loner. How could Sophie play with someone that doesn’t like to talk? With Big Mac as a partner, tennis won’t be fun.

Eventually, Sophie sees the error of her ways and tries to reach out to Mackenzie, who doesn’t have it so easy with the teasing of the other kids. Soon, what started like a mismatch now felt like a perfect combination.

A fun story with nice line drawings!

A good read about first impressions and second chances.
