Review: ONE YEAR AT ELLSMER by Faith Erin Hicks

A young girl enters private school for the first time in her life.

Juniper is a funny, witty, sarcastic, and bright girl. I so can relate to her! Juniper: “Messing with the status quo wherever I go.”

Unlike the rich bloods, she was at Ellsmer on a scholarship. She soon learns that private school is tough—from the plaid uniforms to the insane work load. The best thing about her is that she doesn’t let the mean girls push her around. What a cool chick!

Jun has to sum up all her strength and courage to make it through this year.

A wonderful read with wonderful illustrations!
