Review: KILLING KATIE by Brian Spangler

A woman, happily married with kids, dreams of one thing: killing Katie, her best friend.

It’s got an easy, casual diary narrative that keeps the reader fairly interested in this character’s head. She’s a normal person with a dark fantasy—something we can all relate to. The whole thing is pretty long and slow. It takes forever to get to an action sequence. I mean, when does somebody die already? Somebody will die, right?

If you want to hear about a married woman’s life, boredom, and fantasies, then this would be it. And that’s it.
