Review: MISS QUINCES by Kat Fajardo

Sue and her sisters were going to Honduras to visit family. Sue was dreading it because she wanted to have fun this summer. The art work was colorful, but I didn’t like the text change from black to blue—it made it hard to read.

I could relate to Sue’s refusal to have a quinceañera. A big, loud party while wearing a poofy, ridiculous dress? Bleh!

“Why can’t my journey to womanhood be replaced by just cutting a cake and spending the day reading a book in my room?” Yeah!

In this funny comic, Sue has to try on high heels, write a speech, and learn to dance. Oy, the quinces!

This was a cute and decent read although I didn’t quite enjoy it as much I thought I would. A fairly nice one.
