Review: PRETEND YOU DON’T SEE HER by Mary Higgins Clark

A car crash that killed a promising actress. A mother’s grief and suspicion about her daughter’s death.

Lacey Farrel, the realtor in charge of selling the actress’ home, had no idea that she would be walking into a murder scene and be a witness to the killer. Lacey was now a risk to her job and a danger to her family.

Knowing the killer’s face soon puts Lacey into Witness Protection, forcing her to leave her life, her family, and everything else she’s ever known—most importantly, herself.

Right away, the suspenseful story grabs you from the start. I mean, who wouldn’t be jumpy if you think you saw a deranged killer everywhere you went?

In her new life, Lacey tries to figure out the mystery while pretending to be someone else. Meanwhile, the killer is honing in on her location and will pounce soon.

The whole thing was a compelling cat-and-mouse game. A good read!
