Review: I SURVIVED THE SINKING OF THE TITANIC, 1912 by Lauren Tarshis

The illustrations had a watercolor quality combined with the artsy style of the Golden Age. Some of the text was a little small to read, but the images vividly expressed the story and what was going on.

The beginning was a little dull and you couldn’t really tell what was going on, but the art was so vibrant and exciting.

“Nothing can hurt this ship—not even a mummy’s curse.”

Little George was trying to take a peek at the mummy when the ship struck the ice berg. Oh no! Now the ship was sinking. When he gets separated from his aunt sailing away on a lifeboat, George was on his own.

A nice illustration of harrowing event!
