Excerpt One:

 

“Victoria James, get out of bed now or you’re going to be late!” yelled Mrs.James from the bottom of the stairs.

 

“Ugh!” sighed Victoria, as she turned over in her bed to face the stream of sunlight peeking thought the curtain.

 

I hate Wednesdays, she thought.

 

Victoria climbed out of bed, washed her face, brushed her teeth, pulled a comb through her hair, put on some clothes and slumped down the stairs for breakfast.

 Review: Little Victoria was getting ready for school. As she walks down the sidewalk, she noticed a brazen chill in the air. The cold tingle was spreading all throughout her body. All day at school, Victoria continued to tremble. Could she have the “chilly willies?”

Poor Victoria couldn’t do anything. This was certainly a mysterious case of the chilly willies. Turns out all she needed was a little warmth.

Story had a nice and simple narrative, and the illustrations were so fun and colorful. I liked the incredible detail, and I especially loved the animated expressions and wild gestures.

A nice, little read.
