It was known as Remember House, a 300-year-old historic place built by a captain sailor. The place was not rented to a lawyer, his wife, and their new baby. The wife was still suffering anxiety attacks from the death of her son. Meanwhile, news of a rich woman’s drowning that may not have been an accident spreads through the Cape. Naturally, they all suspected the new husband. Murder victim or accident victim? Additionally, there may be evidence that ghosts were residing in Remember House. We had all these mysteries in one neat package. How will they all connect and unravel? That was the question that I was eager to find out.
The focal case
was on Scotty Covey’s possible involvement in his wife’s death. Some of the
characters said he was innocent, but most of them thought there was much more
to his story than he was telling. Meanwhile, something was off at Remember
House and it was driving Menley crazy…literally.
This was another good read. Some of the history and research can be a little dry and confusing. But, as always, it was interesting to see how all the pieces fit together in the end.
A good mystery!

I used to read a ton of MHC. But I haven't in years. This post made me happy.
