Review: Daddy was going on a trip. Why can’t the kids ever go? So they decided to pretend to go on a trip using their vivid imaginations.
“If we can’t go with Daddy, then we’ll go on our very own journey.”
The kids had set up the chairs around the room and were even packing their own suitcases. But wait! An idea. Could they possibly stow away in Daddy’s suitcase to come along on the trip?
I couldn’t figure out where the talking bear came into play, nor did I see where the kids decided to pack the bear instead. But, evidently, this was a trip for Traveling Tootsie.
While Daddy is away, Tootsie hops out of case and goes exploring Washington, DC, where he sees The White House, the Capitol, the zoo, The Smithsonian Museum,
The colorful illustrations were sketchy and child-like, almost like they were rendered in crayon, which brought the vibrant innocence.
It certainly was a fun and exciting journey that’s sure to inspire travel and learning. Where else will Tootsie go?
A nice, adorable read!
