Review: ONE GONE BEFORE LONG by Kaylie Hunter

Davina was working as a cleaning lady to take care of her brutal father.

“Between my sister’s disappearance, my mom’s suicide, Francis’ violent outbursts…[the chief] was determined to someday run me out of town.”

The story had an easy narrative, but it takes a while to get going. It turns out Davina gets visions and often gets in trouble when she follows them. There’s a lot of time-consuming dialogue between the townsfolks, and it takes a long time to get to the point. The people tend to lose focus with their inane chatter. I guess this was an okay read, but it’s SO LONG.
