The game is new. The past is not safe.
Sixteen-year-old Miles Calder knows basketball. His father knows history. Neither knows how to get home when a blackout in a Springfield gym drops them into December 1891.
James Naismith is introducing a game with thirteen rules, peach baskets, and a ball Miles barely recognizes. But beyond the court, someone is changing the story—and a young man named Eddie Vale is paying the price.
With no explanation for their crossing and no clear way back, Miles and his dad must learn to trust each other, uncover the truth, and decide how much of the past they dare to change.
Before they can find their way home, they have to stand up for someone history might forget.
